CET provides a variety of environmentally sustainable projects across Castle Vale. CET deals with issues regarding recycling, litter and open spaces as well as a variety of projects aimed at making Castle Vale a greener, cleaner, healthy place to live.

CET also runs projects outside Castle Vale at Plantsbrook nature Reserve.

CET also runs Cycle-Vans, a low carbon postal delivery service for Castle Vale.

CET also runs the Vale Youth Green Action (VYGA) group which runs projects, workshops, and environmental / educational / outdoor activities for young people aged 8-14 during school holidays. There is also a Young Leaders Scheme for young people aged 15+ which helps support the VYGA sessions (co-lead group of young volunteers, design activity programmes, fundraise money).

CET is involved in many more schemes, such as free bike loans, bike rides across North Birmingham, International Erasmus programmes (work experience abroad), and various community based environmental projects aimed at improving the area and residents’ understanding of environmental issues.

The CVNCG is a voluntary organisation with an interest in Environmental Conservation. The aim of the group is to protect, enhance and develop areas on the Castle Vale Estate that are of nature conservation value and importance to the community.
