In 10 years’ time Castle Vale will be… (insert your answers here)

NPB public meeting re ward boundaries reviewWant a say in what happens to Castle Vale in the Electoral Review?

The Boundary Commission are currently reviewing the wards and their boundaries in Birmingham and we feel that Castle Vale residents should have a say in what happens to our area!

Castle Vale is currently part of the Tyburn Ward which also includes Pype Hayes, Erdington Hall and Birches Green. The Commission is inviting proposals for a new pattern of wards to accommodate 100 councillors across the city (currently there are 120 councillors). The new wards and their boundaries will come into effect at the local elections in 2018. Local people and groups have until 28 September 2015 to provide evidence to them about where they think the new ward boundaries should be drawn.

The Castle Vale Neighbourhood Partnership Board would like to hear your views so we can submit a neighbourhood response.

The kind of information we would like to include is:

  • Which neighbourhoods do we share an interest/identity?
  • Where should the ward boundary be (Should it include particular roads or open spaces)?
  • What would you call the ward we are part of?

The NPB Resident Board Members would like to meet with you to find out your views

Through the Neighbourhood Partnership, public service planning and delivery will be truly responsive to local needs and residents will continue to play a full and active part in driving the priorities for services.
