To do good you actually have to do something

img_0031.jpgDo something good today and volunteer in your neighbourhood!

Volunteering is a fantastic way to support community causes, whilst also expanding your own skills and experiences. You’ll benefit from getting new skills for your CV, experiencing new things and will get the opportunity to meet new people.

Maybe you think getting involved in an activity takes lots of time.  Well it can if you want it to.  But there’s lots of ways to get involved that doesn’t need to take much of your time at all – giving just a little of your time can make a big difference.

Maybe you think getting involved requires skills you don’t have.  Well it can but you can learn those skills if you want but the thing that most people don’t realise is that everyone has something they can contribute that is valuable.

You can decide how much time you give.

  • Occasionally (e.g. once a year)
  • Regularly (e.g. once a month)
  • Obsessively  (e.g. once a week)

All are valuable contributions!
